Swedish clothing chain H&M was forced to temporarily close some of its South African stores after anti-racism protests linked to their controversial H&M ‘Coolest Monkey in the Jungle’ hoodie advert.  As a result, the retailer has had to learn some tough lessons on diversity from South Africans and consumers around the world.

Our Executive Directors Palesa Madumo (Strategy) and Tshepo Sefotlhelo (Operations), were invited to share their views on the controversial advert as well as issues of diversity and reputation marketing on CNBC Africa’s Closing Bell show, the African Dialogue show on SABC Channel Africa and on Morning Talk on SAfm.
