Janine Hills presented on ‘Reputation Management and Personal Branding as Key Ingredients to Gender Equality in Senior Positions’ at The Connected Workplace, a conference hosted by 30% Club Southern Africa (Business Engage).  The conference took place on 6-7 March for International Women's Day, allowing women the opportunity to be exposed to senior leaders in industry and to form business linkages, as well as to start the research and monitoring of progress on gender issues that is required in Africa.

On 25 June, Janine Hills addressed the Women in Power Symposium in Sun City
on ‘Perseverance and building a personal reputation as a leading business woman’.

MAY
In May, Janine Hills was honoured to be invited by Dr Marcus Brenner from Switzerland to attend the International Brand and Reputation Community Summit (INBREC) at Henley Business School in the United Kingdom. The forum was a valuable sharing opportunity for 30 leading corporate communications professionals from listed UK and European multi-nationals. Some of the topics discussed included: The challenges faced when trying to convince a company’s board to take its reputation seriously; preparations around crisis communication; the value of research and in-depth understanding of clients as valued stakeholders; and what tools to use to measure a corporate reputation.

On the 5th of May 2014 we had the privilege of facilitating a Reputation and Key Account Management talk for Nedbank’s property division.

APRIL
Vuma Reputation management had a recent speaking engagement on 2nd April 2014 at Kyalami Theatre on the Track for Schneider Electric and 300 of their valuable employees. Discussing Reputation Management and Internal Communication.

MARCH
Recently Janine Hills, CEO and Founder of Vuma Reputation management presented a workshop for TeachSA on 20 March 2014. The topic was Reputation Management
Vuma Reputation Management was invited by Professor Ronel Rensburg to speak at the University of Pretoria Honours Class contact session to discuss communication management

Janine Hills, CEO and Founder of Vuma Reputation Management spoke at the Community development & Stakeholder Engagement Summit Africa 2014 held at Halfway Toyota, Fourways.

Skills & Upliftment

Mulligan Pearce met with Tersia Fourie, Tania Gilfillan, Corlette Bekker, Holly Johnston Honors students in Communication from the University of Pretoria at our offices to impart his knowledge and experience in the industry. The session was mainly focused on the importance of communication in the business world, internal and external Communication strategies.

They were interested in how Vuma Reputation Management Communicate with our Employees including the frequency of Communication. Finally, they wanted to know how effective our Communication was. This session triggered an Invitation by Prof Ronel Rensburg for Mr Pearce to be a guest lecturer to the rest of the Honours Students.
